The Difference Between IP67 and IP68 Water Resistance

IP Code checks how long or how deep can your device be immersed or submerged in water. Check for the detailed information here!

Situation: You want to know the difference between IP67 and IP68 water-resistant level.

Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.

Referring to the IP Code table drawn by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC 60529) standard below:

  • for IP67, the second digit ‘7’ means the device can be immersed into a body of water up to 1 meter deep for half an hour.

  • for IP68, the second digit ‘8’ guarantees protection in water up to a maximum depth of 1.5 meter for half an hour.

Both are resistant to dust, following the first digit ‘6’. The new OPPO Find X2 Pro has IP68 water-resistant level.
