Ever wondered if using your phone as a WiFi Hotspot?

Now, you can do that by enabling WiFi Tethering. WiFi Tethering transforms your OPPO device into a wireless internet router. All you need is that your device should be connected to an active WiFi network. When you are connected to data, you can easily distribute your connection to other devices that can connect to it. It functions just like any other Wi-Fi hotspot device.

Applicable to: devices with ColorOS 6.0 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone].

Enable WiFi Tethering

  • Go to [Settings] > [Other Wireless Connections] > [WiFi Tethering] > Enable [WiFi Tethering].

For ColorOS 11 and above:

  • Go to [Settings]> [connection and sharing]>[personal hotspot]> [Turn On].

You can also modify the Name and password of WiFi Tethering. To do so, choose [WiFi Tethering Settings] and edit the name and the password.

Note: WiFi Tethering increases the battery consumption and a maximum of 10 devices can be connected to the phone at the same time.
