Picture Keeper Feature in ColorOS 14

ColorOS 14 prioritizes your safety and privacy at every step. With enhanced privacy features from Android 14, ColorOS 14 introduces Picture Keeper. This new tool ensures apps can't misuse permissions for your photos or videos. Now, with the improved permission management, apps must ask for access to selected photos or videos each time, giving you more control over your privacy. Applicable to: Devices with ColorOS 14. To check the ColorOS version, go to [Settings] > [ About Device].


How to use Picture Keeper Settings

  • Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App Management] > [Menu] > [ Show System] > [Select Apps] > [ Permissions] > [ Select Ask every time] > Click on [Select photos and videos]. 



This feature will allow access to only selected media files. Which will improve your device storage security. With this new Permission Manager, Apps need to obtain permission to access selected photos or videos each time users enable this option.
