OPPO Phone Unable to Automatically Switch to Mobile Data when the Connected Wi-Fi is Out of Range
One of the OPPO phone's features is its ability to switch to a mobile data connection when its connected Wi-Fi is not in range. However, there may be times wherein your phone's network connection won't switch to the mobile data connection automatically when your Wi-Fi signal is poor. Applicable to: ColorOS 5.0 and above device.
Switch to mobile data when Wi-Fi connection is out of range
This issue can happen when Wi-Fi Assistant or the Auto-Switch to Mobile Network option for Wi-Fi Assistant is turned off. To turn it on, follow the presented path:
Go to your phone's [Settings].
Tap on [Wi-Fi].
Then go to [Wi-Fi Assist].
Toggle on both [Automatically Select the Best Wi-Fi] and [Auto-Switch to Mobile Network].
Note:
This is only applicable for ColorOS 5.0 and above devices. Make sure you check the version of ColorOS your device has in [Settings] > [About Phone].
