OPPO Phone Screen Goes Blank After Software Update
If your OPPO phone is experiencing frequent screen blackouts after a software update, this could be caused by a software bug or display-related issues. Try performing a force restart on the device to see if the problem resolves. If not, additional troubleshooting steps are available below for you to follow. Read on.
How to fix a blank screen
Force restart the device
Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for at least eight seconds until you see the OPPO logo.
* For some OPPO smartphones, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Note: A force restart won't erase the content on your phone except those that are broken or invalid.
Uninstall recently installed apps
Some applications downloaded from unknown sources may contain harmful malware or viruses that may compromise your device's security and performance. Uninstall the app instantly and download only from reliable sources.
Plug the device into the charger
Try charging your phone for 30 minutes and restart it again. If your device is not charging, use a compatible or the original charger of the phone.
Factory reset system settings
Choosing this option will only reset the settings of your device and will not delete any data or media files. See How to Factory Reset an OPPO Phone.
