No Sound/Unclear Voice When on Call in OPPO Phone
If you are experiencing call quality problems on your OPPO device, such as muffled or distorted audio, echoes, crackling, or static sounds, there are ways to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Follow the simple guide below to learn how to resolve sound problems during phone calls on your OPPO phone.
Check your location
You might hear noises during phone calls when you are located in a no-signal zone. Make sure to use your phone in an area within your operator's network coverage.
Adjust the volume and mode
Adjust the volume with the volume buttons during phone calls. Ensure you can see the volume indicator appearing on the screen when you press the volume buttons. You can also switch from receiver to speaker on a call.
Check and clean the receiver
The receiver won't work correctly if it's blocked or dirty. Clean the receiver with a clean and soft-bristled brush or cotton bud.
Remove the phone case or screen protector that might block the receiver, then test again.
Note: We recommend you use OPPO's official screen protector and phone casing.
Check the connected accessories
If your OPPO phone is connected to a headset, make sure it is plugged in firmly. Rotate the headset plug and check if the sound is clear. If a Bluetooth headset is connected, go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and reconnect the headset.
Try the headset on other phones and see if it works properly.
Clean the headset plug and remove any obstructions from the headset jack.
Restart the phone and update the software version
Force restart your OPPO phone and test again. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for more than 8 seconds to restart your device or until you see the OPPO logo.
Back up the data on your phone, then detect and update the system to the latest software version.
Other issues
If you cannot hear a specific person's voice clearly, it might be his/ her phone's issue.
Consult with your network operator for network issues.
If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service.
