New Features of Video Editor ColorOS 5.2

Impress your social media followers and friends with your videos. You can now add close-up and pulsation on the videos you have taken to make it more fun and artsy. Read on to learn how to make your videos cooler.

Applicable to: ColorOS 5.2 device and above devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone].

Record a video

Prior to editing, record a video first. Open your Camera app, choose Video then click the Record button, or press either volume button, to start and stop recording. You can choose between 720p and 1080p. 

Features of editing a video

Edit a video

Open the Photos app or the Videos app, tap the video you want to edit, tap Edit, then tap a tool that you would like to use on your video. 

 

Set the speed

Once you tap Edit, you will be asked what speed you would like the video to play. The slowest is 0.25X and fastest is at 2X.  The normal one is 1X.  Once done choosing the speed, Tap [Next]. 

Pick your favorite theme

To choose a theme for your video, click [Edit] > [Choose the Speed] > [Next] > [Themes]. You can choose from None, Old Days, Lens, Memory, Tasty Food/Delicacy, Joy, Travel, and Simplicity.  

Videos have filters too

To choose a special effect for your video, tap [Edit] > [Choose the Speed] > [Next] > [Filter]. You can choose from C1-C13. 

Add some music to your video

To add a soundtrack for your video, tap [Edit] > [Choose the Speed] > [Next] > [Soundtrack] You can also use your local and saved music. Tap    to turn off the original sound of the video.

Add Special Effect to the Video

To choose a special effect for your video, click [Edit] > [Choose the Speed] > [Next] > [Fx Special Effect]. You can choose from None, Close-up, and Pulsation.

  

Add the desired text

Tap  to add overlay text on the video. Tap and drag the text to move its position. Drag the frame viewer to control when the text showed up.

Watermark your video

Add a watermark with the location and date of the video. If the video doesn’t contain the details of location and date, you cannot add the watermark.

Note: This applies to all features. Tap     /    to play and pause the preview and tap   when you have chosen a feature to be added on your video, then tap Done. Tap    to exit a feature and tap Cancel if you don't want to add anything on your video.
