How to Use WPS Push Button on OPPO Phone
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a feature found in many Wi-Fi routers that allows for secure wireless networks. If you need to connect your OPPO phone to a WPS router, we've created a guide to help you connect to Wi-Fi using a WPS connection.
Note: WPS Push Button is only available for ColorOS 3.2 to 11.3. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
Google's removal of the WPS on Android 12
Google removed the WPS connection on Android 12, thus making it unsupported on ColorOS 12 as well. If you forget your Wi-Fi password, you can reconnect to a network by scanning the QR code on another device that has turned on the personal hotspot. Both mobile data and Wi-Fi can be shared via the personal hotspot. Wi-Fi, if available, will be shared first by default. To learn how to connect to a Wi-Fi network through a QR code, go to this link.
Connect OPPO phone using WPS
Follow the steps below to connect your phone to the network via WPS.
Check if your wireless router features a WPS push button. You may contact your network operator to check if your Wi-Fi router has the WPS feature. Some manufacturers may use alternative terms like Wi-Fi Simple Config, Push 'n' Connect, PBC, or Quick Secure Setup (QSS).
On the phone, go to [Settings] > [Wi-Fi] and toggle it to enable.
Under "WI-FI SETTINGS", tap [Advanced Settings] > [WPS Button Connection] / [WPS Connections].
* In some OPPO phones, you may need to tap [WPS connection] again to confirm until a prompt appears.
Press the WPS connection button on your router to establish a connection. The button may be labeled "WPS" or the WPS icon
. Depending on the router and the phone configuration, it may take a few minutes to connect.
Once a successful connection is made, tap [OK].
If the WPS connection fails, try the following:
Make sure that the router's WPS feature is enabled.
Move the router closer to the device.
Contact the router manufacturer or Internet Service Provider for further assistance.
