How to Use Google Lens in OPPO Phone
Google Lens uses your OPPO phone's camera and detects the object in front of the camera lens using AI and deep machine learning technology. This also offers you actions such as translating texts, shopping, solving homework questions, scanning QR Codes, copying texts, and many more. ColorOS camera app is powered by Google Lens so that you can instantly open the camera and use Google Lens. But what if you want to access Google Lens without opening the camera app? Follow the article below to learn how to activate Google Lens.
Applicable to: ColorOS 7.0 and above devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone/About Device].
How to Use Google Lens
There are 2 methods you can use to access Google Lens without opening the camera app.
Method 1: Through Google Assistant
Simply Open Google Assistant by tapping and holding the "Home" button or by saying "Hey Google/ OK Google". You can also swipe from the bottom corners to the center of the screen to open the Google Assistant if your navigation method is set to "swipe gesture from both sides"(Only available in ColorOS 11 and above). Click this link to set up Google Assistant if it is not done yet.
Tap the "
" icon or say "Open Google Lens" after tapping the "
" button.
Note: The phone must be connected to the Internet to use the Google Assistant.
Method 2: Through Google App
Your phone comes pre-installed with the Google app. You can access it from the Google folder on the home screen or the app drawer menu. If you are unable to find the app icon, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
Open the [Google] app > select the Google lens icon
Note: Google Lens application requires Android 6.0 and above to run.
