How to Restore Files Stored in Google Drive to OPPO Phone
When you link your Google Account to a new phone or restore a phone that has already been configured, any data previously backed up for that Google Account can be retrieved on the device. Learn more about how to restore it below.
Note: Applicable to ColorOS 5.0 and above devices. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
An Internet connection is required to restore from a Google backup.
Guide to Restore Files
To recover a backed-up account on a new or recently reset phone, follow the steps outlined below:
1. After setting up the region, language, and network connection on the device, tap [Next] until you see the "Bring your data from..." page. Tap [A backup from the cloud].
2. Sign in to your Google account, which you have used to backup, and tap [Next].
3. In the "Choose a backup to restore" page, tap on the recent backup to restore to your new device.
4. Select [Apps] and [Device settings] and tap [RESTORE]. Your backed up files and data will be transferred to your device. The default Google apps, such as Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos and Gmail are synced automatically.
You can also choose the apps you want to restore by tapping [Apps].
Note: Some data or apps may not transfer to your phone due to incompatibility with the new device.
