How to Quickly Switch Apps in a Floating Window

Boost your efficiency by seamlessly switching between apps in a full-screen mode using the floating window feature. This functionality allows users to launch multiple supported applications to work with another application while the other continues operating. It is an innovative solution to make multitasking easier than ever.


Note: This feature is available on devices running ColorOS version 15.0.2 or higher. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].


How to Swap Apps in a Floating Window

  1. Go to [Settings].

  2. Tap [Accessibility & convenience].

  3. Tap [Flexible windows] and turn on [Swap apps].

When one application is shown in a floating window while another application is displayed in full screen:

  • Tap the [three-dots] icon at the top of the floating window and select [Swap apps].

  • Drag the edge of the floating window to its smallest size to create a mini window. Double-tap the floating window to swap applications.
