Why Can’t I Connect My OPPO Phone to the TV Using Wireless Display
This error could be caused by several factors, such as being on different Wi-Fi networks, a software glitch, or incorrect settings. Below are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
What Should I Check Before Connecting My Phone to the TV
1. Ensure Close Proximity: Make sure that your phone and TV are within approximately 15 meters of each other.
2. Connect to the Same Wi-Fi Network: Both your TV and phone should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Using a personal hotspot or mobile data will not work for this feature.
3. Check for Software Updates: Make sure your phone’s software is up to date by going to [Settings] > [Software Updates].
4. Clear Wireless Settings data/cache: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Processes] > [Wireless Settings] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache] and [Clear Data].
In some devices, you may need to go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [App management] > [All] > [Wireless Settings] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache] and [Clear Data].
5. Reset the phone system settings (this option is available with devices ColorOS 3.2 and above). Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Backup and Reset] > [Reset to Factory Settings] > [Reset System Settings Only].
Restart the TV and the phone: If the issue still persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your phone to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
