How to Clear Cache and Cookies on My OPPO Phone
Cache consists of data stored temporarily your OPPO phone's memory temporarily while you use applications. Each of these apps keeps its own cache file, which occupies storage space. One effective way to free up storage is to clear the cache, at least temporarily. However, the cache files are automatically recreated the next time you use an app, so it's best to make it a habit to clear them occasionally.
Note: Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
How to Clear Cache to Free Up Storage
For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 16:
Go to the [Tools] folder on your homescreen and tap [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage] > [Clean].
For ColorOS 6.0 & 6.1:
Go to the [Tools] folder on your homescreen and tap [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage] > [Clear all].
Note: Depending on the ColorOS version, some will show [Clear] / [Clear All] / [Clean Up] / [End All] on the setting path but the same function.
How to Clear an App's Cache
For ColorOS 13 to ColorOS 16:
Go to [Settings] > [App] > [App management] and tap the [3-dotted] icon in the upper right corner > [Show system], then choose the application > [Storage usage] > [Clear Data].
Alternatively, long press an app of your choice > select [App info] > [Storage usage] > [Clear cache].
For ColorOS 16, you can long press an app of your choice > [More features] > select [App info] > [Storage usage] > [Clear cache].
For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 11:
Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] > tap the [2-dots] icon in the upper right corner > [Show System] > choose the application you wish to clear the data > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data].
Alternatively, long press an app of your choice > select [App info] > [Storage usage] > [Clear cache] and [Clear Data].
