How to Check Call Recordings on OPPO Phones

There are multiple reasons why you may want to record a call, such as for training purposes, to take notes from the call recording, or to have it for your personal use. ColorOS has a convenient feature that allows you to automatically record incoming and outgoing calls without installing a third-party application. Follow the article below to learn how to check recorded calls on your OPPO phone.


Note: Available for ColorOS 5.2 and above. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].

  • Please be reminded that the call recording feature varies per country/ region. The call recording feature may not be available in Australia and some European countries (Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, New Zealand, and Russia). 


How to Check Call Recording

Check the following steps below to know how you can check the call recordings on your OPPO smartphone:


For OPPO phones with Google Phone

On newer OPPO phones, the default dialer app is Google Phone, which also includes a call recording feature. Please note that call recordings are saved on your phone and cannot be backed up or saved to cloud storage. 

  • Open the [neu7445 Phone] app. Find the phone number on which the call is recorded. You can also tap [Recents] and select the recorded phone number. 

    • For the most recent call: Tap the phone number, then tap [] to play the recording.

    • For previous call recordings of a phone number: Tap the phone number > [History], then select the recording from the list of calls and tap [Listen to a recording] to play the call recording. You can also share the call recordings with other devices. Simply tap [] and select the sharing app.

For OPPO phones with an OPPO dialer

For ColorOS 6 to ColorOS 12 and above:

  • Open the [OPPO Phone IconPhone] app from the home screen or app drawer, then tap *[icon] icon on the upper right corner of your screen > [Settings] > [Call Recording] and tap [View Call Recordings] to get the list of recorded calls. Alternatively, you can open the [Recorder] app from the home screen or from the app drawer menu and then tap [Calls] to get the list of call recordings.

Note: *The icons may differ per OPPO phone model but still the same path. Please refer to the actual product.

Call recording missing after software update

  1. If you're having an issue locating your recorded calls after updating to ColorOS 12, go to the [Recording] / [Recorder] app. 

  2. Tap on [All recordings].

  3. Select [Call recordings].

Note: Please note that when using the Google Phone application's Call Recording feature, you cannot record a call that is in progress until it has been answered. Additionally, you cannot record a call that is on hold, muted, or part of a conference call.
