How to Bind Email to Private Safe for Password Retrieval?

 

Situation: You want to bind your email to Private Safe so the password can be retrieved if you forgot.

Applicable to: ColorOS 5.1 and above devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

Please make sure to bind email as we don't store personal/private data, like passwords, in case you forget your Private Safe password.

1. Go to [Settings] > [Fingerprint, Face & Password] > [Privacy Password] or [Set Privacy Password].

2. Enter the privacy password or set the password if you have not set any.

3. Tap [Recovery Email Address]  or [Set Recovery Email Address]/[Bind Security Email Address].

4.  Enter the privacy password again and and enter the email address you want to bind and tap [Use].
