Find Saved Password in Google Chrome

Google Chrome offers a convenient feature allowing you to save usernames and passwords for websites you visit. When logging in or signing up on a website, you might encounter a popup asking, 'Do you want Google Chrome to save your password for this site?' Similarly, on OPPO phones, you can save login credentials for applications. This means the next time you visit the same website or open the same app, your details will be automatically filled in, saving you time. All saved passwords are securely stored in Google Password Manager. You can access, modify, or remove these passwords as needed. Follow the steps in the article below to learn how to check your saved passwords in Google.

How to save passwords in Google

  1. Make sure that you have allowed Chrome to save passwords. To enable, open [Google Chrome] > [icon] > [Settings] > [Password Manager] > [] > Enable[ Offer to save password].

  2. Go to any website that asks you to log in with user credentials. For example, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, etc.

  3. Enter the Username and Password, then tap "Login" or "Submit" to proceed.

  4. Chrome will ask whether you want to save the password or not. Press "Accept" to save or "cancel" to deny.


Note: Some sites may restrict you from saving the passwords.


How to see saved passwords

  • You can use the below methods to access the saved passwords in your Google account:

From Google Chrome

  1. Open [Google Chrome] from the home screen or app drawer.

  2. Tap [icon] on the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Tap [Settings] and then [Password Manager].

  4. Here, you'll be able to see the user credentials of all the websites you have saved.


From Settings

  1. Make sure that your phone has the Google account logged in.

  2. Go to [Settings].

  3. Scroll down and tap [Google] and then [Manage your Google Account].

  4. Tap [Security].

  5. Scroll down till you find the [Password Manager]. Tap it and you will be able to see the saved passwords of websites and apps.

  6. Select the website and tap the "undefined" icon to reveal the password. You might have to enter your device lock screen password to reveal it. You can also delete the username and password from Google by pressing the "undefined" or [Delete].


Stop saving passwords

  1. Open [Chrome] > [undefined] > [Settings] > [Passwords] > Disable [Save Passwords].

  2. Go to [Settings] > [Google] and then [Manage your Google Account] > [Security] > Scroll down and tap [Password Manager] > Tap the settings icon at the top right corner > Disable [Offer to save passwords].


Export Passwords

  1. You can also export all your saved passwords in a text file. To export, Open [Chrome] > [undefined] > [Settings] > [Passwords] > [Three Dots] > [Export Passwords] > Enter the password or by fingerprint > [Export Passwords] > Enter your lock screen passcode > Choose the location and name and tap [Save].

  2. Go to [Settings] > [Google] and then [Manage your Google Account] > [Security] > Scroll down and tap [Password Manager] > Tap the settings icon at the top right corner > Export passwords.
