We all face heating issues with our device during its usage. Heat is generated due to the flow of electrons in the battery of our phone. The heating issue increases when the battery is being rapid. Other components such as CPU & GPU also tend to heat during usage. There are many other factors that cause the smartphone to heat excessively. In the article below, we are going to talk about the factors and how to reduce the heating effect in your phone especially when playing Free Fire with your OPPO phone.

  1. Avoid playing games while charging: Playing games during charging overheats the device that leads to degrading the battery life. We would suggest you fully charge your device and then play the game. VOOC supported device can be fully charged in as low as 31 minutes approx.

  2. Free up RAM by clearing apps running in the background: The more processing power is being used in your phone, the higher the temperature will rise. Closing the running applications will release the resources and minimizes the chances of heating up.

  3. Reducing the brightness: Operating the phone at high brightness levels elevates the temperature of your phone. It is also suggested to disable auto-brightness while playing the game as it uses your phone’s ambient light sensor – it also consumes more battery which raises the temperature of your phone.

  4.  Avoid playing games for an extended period of time: Take frequent breaks when playing games will allow your phone to cool down.

  5. Uninstall cooling/ boosting/ cleaning apps: Installing an extra app to cool down your phone could be a bad idea as they also consume extra storage and keeps running and consumes the device’s resources that could raise the device’s temperature.

  6. Disabling sensors: There are multiple sensors that run in the background even if they are not being used. For example, turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi if you are not connected to any wireless device. It is also suggested to disable location services while gaming.

  7. Remove protective cases: We all use phone cases to protect our device from accidental falls and damages and it's for good but, they also may be one of the reasons the device heats up. Some of the cases are made up of materials that impede heat flow. So, if you are planning for a longer gaming session, consider removing the protective cover to reduce the heating effect.

  8. Avoid using the phone under direct sunlight: The extra heat from the sun coupled with your phone’s internal heat might crank up the temperature of your phone.

  9. Poor network signal: Your phone uses more power to find the signal. This increases the battery consumption which leads to overheating. If you are facing poor network connectivity, it is suggested to disable mobile data and use a Wi-Fi network.
