Can Dual SIM Phones be on Different Networks?

Situation: You just bought a dual SIM phone, and you're wondering if you can use SIM cards from two different networks.

Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones with Dual SIM feature.

Yes, OPPO phones allow SIM cards from different networks.

In a single SIM card phone, you're locked to one network and will have to remove and insert a different SIM card to use another. But for a dual active SIM phone, you can have two different networks on the same phone and switch between them with ease.

If your mobile plan offers good deals for calls but is less good value for mobile data or has patchy coverage, you can add a second SIM on a different network to get the best of both worlds. A second network option can be a lifesaver in an emergency situation.

Note: Some OPPO phone models in certain regions allows only one network. This is because the dual SIM phone is locked by one of the SIM's carrier.
