There might be a couple of reasons your OPPO smartphone fails to vibrate after enabling the feature. There might be a bug that's potentially causing this problem, or it might be a faulty hardware system. Continue reading below to know how to fix this or detect which issue is causing this problem.

Note: Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].

How to fix the OPPO phone's vibrate feature

Perform the following steps if your OPPO phone's vibrate feature is not working:

Enable your device's vibrate feature

Make sure that the vibrate feature is enabled, go to [Settings] > [Sound & Vibration] and toggle on [Vibrate When Ringing] / [Vibrate on ring] and [Vibrate When Silent] / [Vibrate on silent].

Enable OPPO's vibrate feature.

Clear cache through the Phone Manager

The cache is the data stored temporarily in the phone memory when you use apps on your OPPO phone. Every app has its cache file that takes up some storage space. Clearing the cache is a great way to free up space in your device temporarily. Regularly clearing your phone's cache can also fix some problems on your phone, as it also removes old files on your device that might be potentially causing the issue on your phone. See Clear Cache and Cookies in OPPO Phone.

Clean cache through OPPO's Phone Manager.

Run a Common Problem/ Routine Test

Common Problem Detection (also known as Routine Test or Component Check on some devices) allows you to diagnose common phone problems and find solutions quickly. It can auto-detect phone memory, SIM card(s), and system version. You'll also be asked to manually detect sensors, connections, battery and charging, physical keys, screen, camera, audio, and vibration. During the detection, you must operate the phone per the onscreen instructions. The settings path is different per the ColorOS version, and you can check below how you can perform detection on your OPPO phone. See The OPPO Phone Manager/ Security Center to learn more about this feature, including how to perform it.

Update your phone's software to the latest version

Software updates do not just update the operating system but also add new features, improve the performance of existing features, patch known security vulnerabilities, and fix known bugs in the software and built-in applications. A bug might be potentially causing your problem with your device's vibrate feature, and updating your phone to the latest software might fix it. See How to Update OPPO Phone to the Latest Android Software.

Uninstall third-party applications

If you suspect that the issue with your device's vibrate feature occurred right after you installed a specific application, uninstall it and see if it resolves the problem. See How to Uninstall/Remove Applications from My OPPO Phone.

Reset your phone to its factory settings

When you've been using your phone for a while, you may experience problems caused by accumulated junk and old files on your device. Try performing a factory reset and see if it solves the problem. See How to Factory Reset an OPPO Phone.

Note: Before a factory reset, back up all the needed data.

If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center.
