Why doesn't OPPO Enco W31 Headphones Reconnect Automatically after Opening the Charging Case Lid?

Situation: The OPPO Enco W31 headphones won't reconnect to previously connected devices automatically.

Applicable to: OPPO Enco W31 Headphones.

This issue may occur due to the following reasons:

  • Due to the special nature of the Bluetooth headphone, the electromagnetic waves in your area may interfere with the Bluetooth connection. The headphone may be silent or disconnected and cannot be reconnected automatically.

  • The headphone automatically reconnects to the last connected device by default. Your headphone was not connected to this phone last time.

  • The mobile phone is far away from the headphone and exceeds the effective transmission distance (10 meters), or there is an obstacle between the headphone and the mobile phone.

  • The Bluetooth of the phone is not turned on.

Perform the following troubleshooting steps and continue to the next step if issue persists:

1. Check if your headphones are in a strong interference environment, and keep away from objects with large electromagnetic interference such as microwave ovens.

2. If the current device is not the last connected phone, re-pair and connect. Place the headphones back in the charging case and keep the lid open. Press and hold the Function button on the charging case until the Indicator blinks to reset pairing. The headphones are now available for pairing with a new device. Then, turn on Bluetooth on the phone, tap [Search] and select [OPPO Enco W31].

3. Unlock the phone and move it close to the headphones and reconnect.

4. Check if Bluetooth is enabled on the mobile phone.

5. Place the headphones back into the Charging Case, close the cover for 5 seconds, open the cover again, and try to reconnect.

6. If these fails, factory reset the Enco W31 headphones. With the headphones in the Charging Case and lid open, press and hold the Function button until the Indicator flashes red three times. Then, the headphones have been restored to factory settings. Repeat Step 2 to pair again.

If the issue persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your headphones, charging case, proof of purchase and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
