What is OPPO Lock and How Does Call to Lock Work

When an OPPO phone is lost or stolen, the standard Find My Device lock may still display the wallpaper and certain notifications on the Lock screen. If someone discovers the Lock screen password, your data may be exposed. The OPPO Lock feature, available on devices running ColorOS 16 and above, adds an extra layer of protection through Call to Lock, allowing you to remotely secure the device through customer service.

Note: Once the phone is locked through this feature, two-factor authentication (password + biometric verification) is required to unlock it. This ensures your data stays protected even if someone knows your password. Call to Lock is only available in: Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Honduras, Ecuador, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, India.

How to Enable Call to Lock

1. Go to [Settings] > [Security & privacy] > [Device unlock] > [Theft protection].

2. Tap Call to lock – Turn on, then follow the on-screen instructions to enter your:

  • ID number

  • Mobile number

  • Trusted contact details

3. Tap [Done] to complete the setup.

Note: If your device is lost, contact the official customer service hotline for your region. After verifying your device model, personal information, and trusted contact numbers, customer service can place your phone into Lost mode.
