What is Google Fi in Google Message App?
It may be new to you, but Google Fi or formerly known as Project Fi is a carrier service that gives you the best data coverage. It offers data plans that are catered to your needs wherever you are. If you are a heavy data user, you like to watch on Netflix, play games, or surf on your social media accounts, the unlimited data plan is for you. On the other hand, if you're not much of a data user because you do everything under your Wi-Fi, you can choose the flexible plan. Your monthly bill will only cost you the data you used.
Now that you have an idea what Google Fi is. If you are a user of Messages by Google, you can sync up or transfer your conversation to it. To know how you can do this, read below.
1. On your phone, open the [Messages] application.
2. At the top right, tap [More], then [Settings].
3. Under Settings, tap [Advanced], then tap the [Google Fi Settings].
4. Sign in to the Google Fi account you're using.
You have an option to sync up your conversation:
If you wish to transfer the text messages in your Hangouts, tap the [Transfer and sync conversations].
And if you don't have text messages in your Hangouts, you may choose the option [Sync conversations].
You may see at the top "Sync completed" once it's already synced to your Google Messages.
Note: The sync up may take 24 hours, but by those times, you can still text, make a call and check your voicemails on the web.
