Unable to Charge OPPO Phone Using Wireless Charging Base
One of the advantages of having a wireless charging-enabled smartphone is its convenience since you'll only have to plug and wait. It also eliminates the need for cords, making it easier to charge your phone while on the go. However, the wireless charging base sometimes does not work because of the unsupported protective case, incorrect usage of an adapter, or other factors. If this occurs to you, continue reading the troubleshooting below. Read on.
Note: Currently, only OPPO Find X3 series and OPPO Find X5 series support wireless charging. Please refer to the actual product.
Remove the unsupported protective case
Ensure the OPPO phone's protective case is less than 2mm thick for wireless charging. Also, ensure no foreign metal object exists between the wireless charging base and the phone, and there is no metal inside and outside the case. We advise using the official OPPO protective case to avoid wireless charging issues.
Ensure a QI-certified wireless charger base
We recommend using an OPPO wireless charging base for a hassle-free charging experience and safe wireless charging. However, if you purchase a third-party wireless charging base, please check if it has passed the QI- certification by checking the QI logo on the product or the official website where you purchased it. Using a non-certified base may cause charging issues and not work with your phone.
Use a proper adapter specification
For properly charging your OPPO device, it's essential to use an adapter that supports standard fast charging protocols such as SCP/FCP, PD, QC, VOOC, SuperVOOC, etc. Please note that the adapter should not have low-power input such as 5V/1A, 5V/0.5A, or other specifications. If you use an adapter with different specifications, your device may fail to charge. If you are using an OPPO charging base, align the position for charging correctly.
