Step 1:Ask for details

Power consumption: How long does it take for your phone to run out after being fully charged?
Standby power consumption: How much power does your mobile phone consume in one night?

Step 2:Check the power usage for each App

What software do you use most recently?
Remarks: If the user cannot provide relevant information, or the user is in the standby power consumption scenario, it is recommended that the user enter [Settings-Battery-Power usuage] to see if there is any software that consumes more power in the past three days

Commonly used apps consume more power

Use the suggested Scripts

If you use the same software for a long time, the power consumption will be faster than usual, it is recommended that:
Game App: It is recommended that you select the appropriate resolution and frame rate in the game settings, and select the appropriate volume of the external media. High resolution, animation frame rate and background volume of the game setting will increase the consumption when playing the game.
Video App: It is recommended that you appropriately reduce the screen brightness or enable the screen brightness automatic adjustment function. In addition, use headphones or select the appropriate external media volume can appropriately reduce the power consumption.
LIve chat App(Message, Whatsapp, Line):it is recommend that you mute the notification

 

Infrequently used and third-party apps

Uninstall or reinstall the App

Remarks: Offline games need to be reminded that data will be lost; Chat apps needs to be reminded to back up data

 

Step 3: Power saving tips

The power consumption of your smartphone has a lot to do with the frequency, using habits and signal strength of your environment. You can try some power-saving techniques in the future (list 1-2):
(1) Clean up background programs: It is recommended that you clean up background applications that are not in use temporarily to reduce power consumption.
(2)Set the screen brightness: It is recommended that you turn on the screen brightness automatic adjustment function to reduce the power consumption of the bright screen
(3)Turn off the unused functions in time:  It is recommended to turn off the functions of WiFi, GPS positioning, NFC, Bluetooth, etc. when not in use.
(4)Enable power saving mode: it is recommended that you can turn on power saving/power saving mode in [Settings-Battery]

[Special Scenario] If the user directly describes the following specific scenarios, then follow the solution below:
1. Fast power consumption in low-temperature environments (when using mobile phones in winter and outdoors): Lithium battery activity becomes poor at low temperatures. 【Remarks: The  appropriate working temperature for mobile phone is 0℃~35℃】
2. Power consumption is fast with 5G: When using 5G network, 4G network is turned on synchronously, so the power consumption will be faster . If you do not have a 5G network around you or do not use 5G network temporarily, it is recommended that you turn off it.
[If the user asks, you can further explain the principle: the mobile phone 5G network solution is based on the registered 4G network and then registering the 5G network, that is, there is a 4G network power consumption and a 5G network power consumption]
3. The weak signal leads to fast power consumption:
(1) The Wi-Fi signal is weak (less than 2 grids): Due to frequent search for signals and transmission signals, energy consumption will increase at this time. It is recommended that you connect to a strong Wi-Fi network.
(2) Poor cell phone signal (signal cell is lower than 2 cells): In places with poor signal, cell phone will improve the ability of network switching and search frequency, resulting in fast power consumption,
4. After ColorOS 6 is upgraded to ColorOS 7: After the upgrade, it may cause the phone to have problems of heating, freezing, and fast power consumption. It is recommended that you restart the phone after charging for one night, or after 2-3 days of normal use.
