OPPO Watch 46mm LTE Can't Do eSIM Independent SMS
In your OPPO Watch, it has the function to receive and make a call. Even though you left your phone at home, you can still do your errands just with your OPPO Watch. However, it doesn't support an independent SMS as OPPO Watch only supports Bluetooth SMS function. Check out more about it here!

Independent SMS on OPPO Watch
The eSIM is the tiny chip embedded in your OPPO Watch. And once it's activated, you can use your OPPO Watch to make a phone call or receive one, and you can also access the mobile network independently.
However, your OPPO Watch with the eSIM function doesn't support independent SMS. You can't make or receive a message using it because it only supports the Bluetooth SMS function, and most of the carriers do not support independent eSIM SMS.
