How to transfer contacts
Importing contacts will copy the contacts from one phone and store them on another phone. Follow the steps below to import the contacts stored on the old phone to your new OPPO phone through Bluetooth.
1. Transfer the contacts on your OPPO phone
Transferring the contacts on your OPPO phone varies per ColorOS version.
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to the [Phone] app > [Contacts] > tap
in the upper right corner > [Manage contacts] > [Import/Export Contacts] > [Export to Storage Device].
For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 11: Open the [Phone] app > [Contacts] > tap
in the upper right corner > [Settings] > [Import/Export Contacts] > [Export to Storage Device].
For ColorOS 5 to 6: Go to [Settings] > [System Apps] > [Contacts] > [Import/Export Contacts] > [Import from Other Phones] > [Export to Storage Device].
For ColorOS 3: Go to [Settings] > [Contacts] > [Import/Export Contacts] > [Export to Storage Device].
2. Send the contacts via Bluetooth.
After saving the contact in the storage, you can send the contact file using Bluetooth.
3. Turn on Bluetooth for both phones.
There are two ways to turn on Bluetooth.
Control center: Swipe down from the top to see the Control center and tap the [Bluetooth] icon. See How to Rearrange Control Center Icons.
Settings: Go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and toggle to enable.
4. Select the phone you want to import the contacts from.
Look for the contact file on the File Manager app on your OPPO phone. Press and hold the file and tap [Send] and choose [Bluetooth].
5. Choose the device to transfer the files.
Tap the device you wish to transfer the files. Accept the Bluetooth pairing request on the other phone and tap [OK] / [Accept] to allow access. The contacts will start transferring to your new phone.
6. Select a destination to store the contacts
Once transferred, on the new phone, select [Phone] as the destination to store the contacts. The contacts are successfully imported to your phone storage.
Note: When the device uses Bluetooth to transfer contacts, the contacts must be converted to a corresponding format before transferring.
