How to Send a Group Message on Your OPPO Smartphone?
You have an announcement, a quote, or some messages you want to send to a group of people. Rather than individually sending an SMS, your OPPO phone will let you send messages to multiple recipients. Check the easy steps here!
Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.
Send a group message
Tap [Messages] on the Home screen, create a new message, and choose the recipients from one of the following lists:
From Contacts: tick the contacts you wish to include in the group message, then tap [Add].
From Groups: tick the groups you wish to include in the group message, then tap [Add].
From Call Log: tick the ones you've recently called or who has recently called you, then tap [Add].
If you want to send the message to recipients who are not in your contacts list, tap [Message] on the Home screen, create a new message, enter a phone number, and tap [Done]. Repeat the above steps to add multiple recipients.
After selecting the recipients, type a message, and tap [Send]. To view the recipients, tap the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
If you can send messages but have issues with a group message
For models of ColorOS 3.2 and below, go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [All] and find Messages. Tap Messages, then clear its data and cache. For models of ColorOS 5.0 and above, long-press the icon of [Messages] > [App Info] > [Storage Usage], then clear its data and cache.
Restart the phone, and update it to the latest software version.
Take out the SIM card and put it back in, and see if you fixed the issue.
