How to protect your FinShell Pay information
FinShell Pay protects your information using a collection of top security features that help detect fraud, prevent hacking and protect your identity.
Your FinShell Pay information is stored on secure servers in a safe location, and our team monitors it at all times.
Important: If you think that there has been a case of fraud or unauthorised activity in your account, contact us to report it immediately. You should also contact your bank to dispute any charges from the unauthorised activity.
Below are ways that someone might fraudulently ask for personal information or access to your account. Please be aware of these calls.
1. Phishing : Fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit or debit card numbers.
2. Spoofing : <Tricking or deceiving computer systems or other computer users. This is typically done by hiding one's identity or faking the identity of another user on the Internet.
3. Fraudulent money requests : Be careful when approving collect request, or some impersonating as FinShell Pay executives asking to reveal confidential information.
Note: You will never get a direct call from FinShell Pay unless you filled out a form or requested a call back from an agent.
DO NOT DIVULGE BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION OR OTP EVEN IF SOMEONE IDENTIFIES THEMSELVES A FinShell Pay REPRESENTATIVE.
Set strong account and device security measures
1. To make it hard for other people to use your account, you‘re asked to set a password when you get started with FinShell Pay. If you don’t think that your password is strong enough, you can change it.
2. Make sure that you set a strong UPI PIN that only you know, and which cannot be easily guessed. Keep these PINs private and don‘t share them with anyone.
